Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis presents Michigan Air National Guard Colonel Andrew Roberts, Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center Commander, with The Order of the Viesturs (of the third class). The award was presented during a ceremony at the Michigan National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters on 26 September 2016. Col Roberts received this award for his commitment to the Republic Of Latvia through the state partnership between Latvia and the State Of Michigan. Michigan has been a state partner of Latvia since 1993.
