DMA Pacific - Hawaii Media Bureau

BM1 Ken Raigeluw grew up on the small atoll of Woleai. When the Coast Guard visited his island home in 1993 the experience would have a major impact on him and eventually push him to decide to enlist.

Command Master Chief Ronny German, then a 21 year old man, documented the visit and ended up taking Raigeluw's only childhood photo. A photo that now reminds Raigeluw of the day that ended up changing his life forever.
