A historical marker was dedicated at cascade nature preserve this Saturday noting the sacrifice of soldiers during the great national salvation of 1864. April 6, 2016 marked the 152nd anniversary of the battle of Utoy Creek where soldiers of the Union army attacked confederate soldiers during the civil war. LTC Leonard Perry Bennett presided over the ceremony.
