Marines conduct underwater egress training Aug. 10 through Aug. 11, 2016 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan. Egress training prepares Marines in case of an over-water aircraft crash. The Marines started off with the basics, learning how to breathe with a regulator underwater. From there, they moved on to the Shallow Water Egress Trainer where they learned how to escape in shallow water. Lastly, the Marines moved on to the Modular Amphibious Egress Trainer which simulates an aircraft that has crashed in the ocean.
