The 303D Ordnance Battalion (EOD), 8th Military Police Brigade, hosted an inactivation ceremony for the 706th Ordnance Company (EOD) on Hamilton Field, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The 706th was first created January 30, 1943 as the 6th Ordnance Bomb Disposal Squad then activated on February 19, 1943 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. The unit has been on the island of Oahu since 1997, providing their unique capabilities throughout the Pacific Theater.
