Worldwide, around 16 million girls between the ages of 15-19 give birth each year. Many drop out or are forced to leave school. USAID is helping get them back into classrooms, and give them practical training so they can get jobs. Moms who are educated are more likely to vaccinate, educate and provide better nutrition for their kids.
