Members of the local government, FEMA officials and The Oregon Adjutant General were among several of the VIPs who visited the Anderson Readiness Center in Salem, Ore. on June 8, 2016. The visitors were in attendance to share information regarding the exercise as well as tour the facility to observe the exercise in action. The purpose of the exercise is to coordinate efforts of various state agencies in order to effectively save lives in the event of a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake and tsunami.
