Alaska Air National Guardsman in the AKRCC work during a mission to rescue two stranded skiers from Bear Glacier. The skiers were dropped off by private aircraft April 8, 2016, for a day trip and were stuck for four days due to inclement weather. An HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter from the 176th Wing's 210th Rescue Squadron with Guardian Angels from the 212th RQS landed near the stranded skiers April 12, 2016.
