The U.S. Coast Guard rescues a missing 17-year-old girl after a 4-hour search off Tarpon Springs, Florida, Sunday, April 10, 2016. The Coast Guard launched an air and surface search at 6 p.m. after the family reported the girl missing. She became separated from her family during a kayaking trip and did not return to their departing location. The missing girl stated her kayak was waked by a boat causing her to lose her paddle; she then drifted for several hours into evening until a Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew spotted her at 10:06 p.m. Sunday. The Coast Guard helicopter crew remained on scene and vectored in a 29-foot response boat crew from Station Sand Key, Florida.
