Philippine and U.S. service member participate in a Cooperative Health Engagement (CHE) training event as part of Exercise Balikatan 2016 at Jamindan Gymnasium in Cadiz, Philippines, April 06, 2016. The CHE was designed to equip local health and emergency response professionals to train the people of their communities on how to act as first responders in times of crisis. Balikatan provided an opportunity for the philippine and U.S. forces to continue strengthening relationships, increase interoperability and improve upon disaster preparedness.
