In January of 1991, U.S. and coalition forces liberated Kuwait from Iraqi control. A quarter century later, we remember some of the important factors that made Operation Desert Storm a success. Rapid global mobility, air refueling capability and total force integration proved to be a vital part of the campaign, and continue to be a major reason why our U.S. Air Force continues to be a force for good around the world.
