The Corps of Engineers held a press conference on Jan. 8 as the Mississippi River crested at Memphis. At the conference was Memphis District commander Col. Jeff Anderson, Director of Public Works for the City of Memphis Mr. Robert Knecht and Mr. Rob Rash, Executive Director of the Mississippi Valley Flood Control Association and Chief Engineer of the St. Francis Levee District. Memphis District Deputy Maj. Rhett Blackmon acted as the moderator. Here is the press conference in its entirety.
