The remains of six airmen killed Dec. 21, 2015, in a vehicle bomb attack outside Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, were returned to New Castle Air National Guard Base, Delaware, Dec. 23, 2015. Defense Secretary Ash Carter, who attended the dignified transfer, expressed his deep regret for the loss of the service members in a statement earlier this week.
