The Indiana National Guard's director of the joint staff, Ronald WestfaIl, received the rank of brigadier general at Joint Force Headquarters during a ceremony Dec. 11.
Westfall most recently served as the vice chief of staff, Indiana National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, prior to his present assignment. Other assignments included director of strategic initiatives and commander of the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
