U.S. Marines from this NATO camp in Kabul, Afghanistan celebrated the Corps' 240th birthday with relay run of 240 laps around within the confines of the camp's 26 acres. The "First To Fight 240" run attracted members of coalition forces, as well as all three sister U.S. services. The Marines at Resolute Support and the adjacent U.S. Embassy took turns carrying the guidon on a circuit through the traffic and drizzling rain covering 96 miles in about 14 hours. The relay run kicked off the celebration that included a traditional cutting of the Marine birthday cake and the Marine Corps ball hosted by the Embassy Security Guard Marines. Includes interviews with Marine Sgt. Brett Meyer with Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, based in Quantico, Va., and Marine Sgt. Travis Steubing, Marine Corps Security Guard.
