Elements from Marine Aircraft Group 31 coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard for a search and rescue exercise off the coast of Charleston Nov. 3. The exercise simulated the water rescue of two Marine pilots from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.
The purpose of the exercise was to test the capabilities and evaluate the procedures for potential search and rescue operations.
