The Lancer Brigade put the finishing touch of their month long training event with a Joint Air Attack (JAAT) training exercise at Yakima Training Center, Wash., Oct. 26, 2015. The JAAT, lead by 2-2 ID (SBCT), involved F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft, AH-64 Apache helicopters, and fires from HIMARS rockets and M777 Howitzers to destroy an objective. The extensive exercise brought together personnel and capabilities from Army, Navy and Air Force components from 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 2-17 Field Artillery "Steel", 2nd Infantry Division Artillery and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Includes soundbites from Col. Jerry Turner, brigade commander, 2-2ID (SBCT), and Lt. Col. Timothy Mungie, battalion commander, 2-17FA.
