U.S. Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion build a medium girder bridge October 30, 2015 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The Marines are building the bridge during exercise Blue Chromite 16 to test their capabilities for future exercises. Blue Chromite is an amphibious training exercise that draws primarily from III Marine Expeditionary Force’s training resources on Okinawa. Participating units maintain a forward-deployed posture while eliminating travel costs.
