Representatives from several state and federal agencies, local responders and others were at Bonneville Lock and Dam on the Columbia River recently for oil spill response training. Training side-by-side gives them the opportunity to practice skills and coordinate roles if ever called upon to respond to an oil spill on the Columbia or other fast-moving river in the Northwest.
