U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force execute different shooting drills during a deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex. The Marines did pushups and shuttle runs prior to firing to raise their heart rates and identify how it affects their marksmanship. The 15th MEU, embarked on the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
