The Coast Guard and local agencies in and around the Charleston area joined forces in a joint mass rescue exercise in Charleston Harbor, Sept. 30, 2015. More than 90 people were rescue from simulated distress aboard the General Beauregard, a Charleston-based passenger vessel. The 23 participating agencies worked together to ensure the safety of the passengers while sharpening their overall communication and inter-agency cooperation. U.S. Coast Guard video.
