U.S. Army paratroopers from the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade and Hungarian paratroopers from the 88th Light Mixed Battalion, 25th Infantry Brigade, Hungarian Defense Forces conduct sustained airborne training prior to a combined airborne operation into Hungary as part of Exercise Brave Warrior at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Sept. 16. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the Army's contingency response force in Europe, capable of deploying ready forces to conduct the full range of military operations across the U.S., European, Central and Africa commands areas of responsibility.
