U.S. Marines and sailors with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa taught basic infantry skills and Marine Corps martial arts techniques to policemen with Benin National Surveillance Police in Cotonou, Benin, Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, 2015. At the request of the Benin government and coordination with the local U.S. embassy, Marines and sailors are providing the National Surveillance Police the tools and capabilities to help counter illicit trafficking at the country’s borders.
