Brig. Gen. Bruce E. Oliveira relinquished authority to Brig. Gen. Keith Y. Tamashiro as the new Commander of the Hawaii Army National Guard. The ceremony took place at the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Readiness Center in Kalaeloa on Aug. 2, 2015. Tamashiro served as the assistant adjutant general and director of the Joint Staff of the Hawaii National Guard prior to taking command of the Hawaii Army National Guard. Some notable guests in attendance include Tulsi Gabbard, David Ige, and Mark Takai.
