Highlights of the C-17 event at Robins Air Force Base. Captain Timothy Birt, 437th Airlift Wing, completes preflight checklists prior to a C-17’s departure to Joint Base Charleston S.C. The hat in the foreground was in recognition of the 3 millionth flying hour for the airframe. Officials from Robins, flight crews and distinguished visitors from Joint Base Charleston met at each base prior to the aircraft’s departure from Robins Air Force Base in a display of partnership and collaboration to celebrate the accomplishments of the men and women who played a part in making the aircraft a success around the globe.
