The 45th Sustainment Brigade transitions from the 8th Theater Sustainment Command to the 25th
Infantry Division during a Change of Command and Redesignation Ceremony on Hamilton Field at
Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. During the ceremony, the 45th SBDE cased its colors and uncased its new
colors, becoming the 25th ID Sustainment Brigade. In February 2015, General Raymond T. Odierno,
The Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, directed that Sustainment Brigades be aligned to each division.
This command relationship maximizes unit cohesion and mission command effectiveness with inherent
impacts on organizational training, unit readiness and leader development.
