Members from Hawaii, Virginia, Wyoming and Puerto Rico National Guard all took part in downed aircraft recovery team exercises as well as battle damage assessment & repair drills. The DART and BDAR scenarios are designed to simulate real world situations such as a forced landing due to combat or mechanical failure. The team flew across Wheeler Army Airfield in a CH-47 Chinook to repair a simulated downed aircraft.
