Soldiers from Oregon’s CERFP team participate in exercise Vigilant Guard- /MAKANI PAHILI 2015. This disaster Relief exercise tests the Soldier’s ability to set up a footprint, extract and manage casualties from an area devastated by a simulated hurricane.
Vigilant Guard is a United States Northern Command and National Guard Bureau sponsored exercise program. The program provides an opportunity for the State of Hawaii, the Hawaii National Guard (HING) in particular, to improve collaborative efforts in regards to emergency preparation, coordination, response and recovery management with federal, regional, local, civilian and military partners during domestic emergencies and catastrophic events.
