Video by Staff Sgt. Sean Callahan

    United States Army Alaska

Soldiers with the 1-52nd Aviation Regiment flew two Chinook helicopters to Denali base camp, carrying thousands of pounds of equipment. They stack the gear, ready to be hauled up the mountain by the National Park Service rangers, where it will be used to establish base camp at 7,200 feet and higher up Denali. With this partnership, the aviators od U.S. Army Alaska gain valuable training in high altitude, mountain environments.
