The F-4 Phantom II, the F-15 A Model, and the F-100 are on their way to their new home at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. These three fighter jets serve as legacy aircraft to the 131st Bomb Wing, yet for the past seven they have been separated from their Missouri Air National Guard. In 2008, the 131st Fighter Wing based at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis Missouri, moved across the state to Whiteman and became the 131st Bomb Wing.
