    Video by Andrew Kornacki

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District

The video demonstrates how flooding is reduced during a 100 year storm event, with water falling evenly across the Blanchard River Watershed.

The combined flow of water in the Blanchard River and Eagle and Lye creek that results in flooding within the Blanchard River Watershed study area.

The main components of the recommended plan include a levee installed from the Findlay Reservoir to Route 15 to prevent water in the Blanchard River from flowing into Lye Creek during high water events.

Another component is a diversion channel that will reduce the amount of water flowing down Eagle Creek.

The combined flows are reduced because of the recommended plan.
