More than 1,000 NATO military members participate in Exercise Summer Shield at Military Camp Adazi, Latvia, March 22-31, 2015. Summer Shield is an annual, multi-lateral exercise conducted to enhance military capacity and improve NATO forces' interoperability. This year's exercise is the first year where six NATO partners are involved. Participating in this year's exercise will include forces from Latvia, the United States, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Canada, and Germany.
