Citizen-soldiers from various states alongside Puerto Rico first responders held an emergency management display on the pier in ponce, Puerto Rico on march 18, 2015. The purpose behind this reveal was to show the media the capabilities of the emergency response units of the military and how they integrate with civilian emergency responders. During this display state firemen and guardsmen from Vermont and Puerto Rico set up their CERF-P areas while the 22nd weapons of mass destruction civil support team from Puerto Rico and the 45th weapons of mass destruction civil support team from Tennessee conducted training scenarios designed to test their capabilities and how they would respond to various disasters.
