Capt. John Haley a retired F-100 Fighter Pilot speaks during a rededication ceremony of the Lieutenant Warren Brown memorial on July 14, 2008. The ceremony took place at the main terminal of the Sioux Gateway Airport in Sioux City, IA.
Lieutenant Warren Brown of Sioux City, IA was the only pilot of the Iowa Air National Guard’s 185th Tactical Fighter Group, based in Sioux City, Iowa to be killed while serving in Vietnam. Brown was shot down over the AShau Valley on July 14, 1968. The 185th Tactical Fighter Group of the Iowa Air National Guard was mobilized on January 26, 1968 and returned to Sioux City on May 14,1969.
