An alert force from Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa completed an unscripted casualty evacuation drill from their base of operations in Morón Air Base, Spain, Jan. 29, 2015.The unit is tasked with providing crisis response capabilities for Africa and is capable of assembling a force within six hours after receiving a mission. The unit launched a platoon of Marines aboard two MV-22 Ospreys to complete the mission. The Marines rapidly secured their landing site at the nearby Rota Air Base, Spain, and extracted the simulated casualty after less than 30 minutes on the ground.
