Operation Rising Thunder is an annual joint forces exercise between the US Army and Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) at Yakima Training Center in Washington. While language is the biggest barrier troops at the exercise must face, linguists like SPC Joshua Williams make that obstacle easier to overcome.
