Soldiers with Headquarters and Headquarters Company 34th Combat Aviation Brigade participated in HMMWV Egress Assistance Trainer training on July 1, 2014, at Fort Hood, Texas. In the training, soldiers are put into a HMMWV simulator that turns 360 degrees. The purpose of the training is to teach soldiers what to do if their HMMWV rolls onto its side or upside down.
During the exercise, soldiers were turned 45-, 90-, and 180-degree angles. After completing a full 360 degrees once or twice, soldiers were told to egress, while on their side or upside down, by the trainers. Soldiers then had to exit the vehicle safely with all sensitive items. Also available in high definition.
