SOTS
For the first time, the Kansas National Guard's 73rd CST trains with
the active-duty 84th EOD Battalion. The partnership will allow a better
response to EOD and hazmat events for Kansas.
The mission of the 73rd CST is support civil authorities at domestic
chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear incident sites by identifying agents/
substances, assessing current and projected consequences, advising on response
measures, and assisting with appropriate requests for additional support.
This includes incidents involving the intentional or unintentional release of
CBRN elements, and natural or man-made disasters that result or could result in
the catastrophic loss of life or property in theUnited States
