The National Museum of the United States Air Force has a variety of historically significant aircraft. One of them is the SAM 26000. This aircraft brought President John F. Kennedy to Dallas on that fateful day. Currently the aircraft sits in a World War II era hanger roughly a mile-and-a-half away from the museum itself. This distance has a profound effect on the number of visitors it sees each year.
