Pilots, Airmen from the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, and Airmen from Air Mobility Command took the SERE refresher course from Feb 11, 2014 to Feb 13, 2014. The footage taken is from Wednesday, the 12th. They covered basic fighting moves and positions concerning combatives in the morning, and after lunch they were tested on their land survival abilities. The land survival revolves around a mock ambush/hostage scenario in which the Airmen are 'taken captive,' made to wear hoods and disoriented, before being released into the woods to find given checkpoints. The six Airmen involved in this particular training week were broken into Team Alpha and Team Bravo. The footage in the woods is of Team Bravo. High or at-risk individuals are required to take the course every 36 months. The SERE instructor in the footage is SSgt Jeffrey Campbell, SERE Training NCOIC.
