U.S. Navy Sailors launch AV-8B Harriers with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) aboard the USS Bataan (LHD 5), at sea, in support of a bilateral exercise with Greece’s Hellenic Army March 9, 2014. The U.S. and Greece regularly conduct scheduled military exercises to strengthen professional and personal relationships. The MEU is deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
