    An uncasing ceremony is a ceremony in which a unit unfurls its colors, the symbol of the battalion and where the commander is and where the headquarters is, and able to do that whenever you arrive to a new destination or a new deployment. Soldiers from First Battalion 12th Cavalry Regiment stand at attention during a ceremony signifying the start of the battalion’s overseas mission.
