U.S. Marines with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), Battalion Landing Team, Alpha Company 1/4, throw live grenades during a live fire and movement grenade training exercise at Arta Range, Djibouti, Feb. 18, 2014. A standard grenade can be thrown approximately 40 meters. The 13th MEU is deployed with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
