The National Guard is always on call to help their neighbors. Nine states including Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and the District of Columbia were pummeled by a winter storm that had about 3,000 soldiers and airmen assisting in anyway their State governments needed.
