CAPE MAY, N.J. - Recruits from Coast Guard Training Center Cape May call "Upon the Water," which is the first of five Coast Guard marching cadences nominated for Coast Guard Boot Camp's Top Cadence of 2012. 'Upon the Water' describes the feeling of being underway on a Coast Guard cutter during a rough storm and infuses many nautical references the recruits will have to become familiar with in their careers.
