PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Coast Guard, National Weather Service and Virginia Beach Lifesaving Service are urging Hampton Roads mariners and residents to begin planning and preparing for the 2012 Atlantic hurricane Season, which starts Friday. Experts from each service spoke about hurricane preparedness, the 2012 storm season and the Coast Guard's response measures Tuesday in Virginia Beach.
