CLEARWATER, Fla. - Coast Guard active duty and reserve personnel from Air Station Clearwater and Port Security Unit 307, gather toys and other gifts for children during December 2011.
A second donation drive yielded more than 500 pounds of gifts for the 122 children living in Matthew Town, on Great Inagua Island of the Bahamas. Closer to the states, holiday toys and gifts were collected for foster children in Hillsborough County, Fla.
Both charity events brought cargoes of cheer to children in communities served by Coast Guard units located in the Tampa Bay region.
