SAN DIEGO -- Crewmembers of U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Sherman reunite with loved ones after their return to homeport at Naval Base San Diego from a 100-day patrol to the Bering Sea, Dec. 22, 2011.
During the patrol, Sherman's crew boarded 45 vessels to conduct safety checks and fisheries inspections, as well as responded to seven search and rescue cases, saving more than 20 lives and maritime assets valued at more than $1.5 million.
