GRAND ISLE, La. - Guardsmen with the Louisiana National Guard's 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 205th Engineer Battalion, prepare boats and two rafted Improved Ribbon Bridges (IRB) to travel to Grand Terre 2, an island nearby where they'll pick up oiled sand and return it to the Grand Isle, La., decontamination station for remediation or disposal Aug. 6, 2010. The guardsmen have also used the IRBs to transport heavy equipment and provide access for response workers to hard to access parts of the barrier islands.
