    GRAND ISLE, La. - Contracted responders monitor pipe boom near Coup Abel, extract sorbent boom from wetlands and marsh near Queen Bess Island, monitor healthy pelican populations, dispose of sorbent boom and clean hard boom at the Grand Isle decontamination station in Grand Isle Aug. 4, 2010. The responders, from many different companies and backgrounds, are working in concert to protect and restore vital coastal habitat in the Grand Isle area following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
